If you’re having trouble getting a video to play (e.g. video player is black, and pressing play doesn’t do anything) it is usually because of an Ad Blocker you’ve enabled in your browser. Ad Blockers are common browser extensions that automatically prevent certain content from showing, and they’re very helpful on spammy websites. Our website has no ads, though :) so you can safely turn off any Ad Blockers (there is usually a “Pause on this Website” option) and refresh the page, and that should do the trick.
It’s less likely, but also possible that the cause could be a security feature you’ve enabled in your browser settings. Open your browser settings (“Safari/Chrome” drop-down > “Settings”) and check for any options related to content blockers, pop-up blockers, auto-play video blockers, etc. that might be enabled. You’ll also need to refresh the page in order for the new settings to take effect.
